Sanderson Brothers Racing (SBRO Racing)

THE HISTORY

OF

SBRO Racing

It all started in the early 1990's with circle track racing at our local speedway untill track politics made us decide that circle track was not the way to go.

.In the late 1990's we did a few endurance race's and demo derby's, but it wasn't till 1998 we came across the world of offroad racing in Janetville and Cedarsprings.  From this point on we did what is known as Tuff Truck competitions from this everything evolved.(This is a cheap way to go out and have loads of fun!!)

In 1998 Rob made the change to Tough truck .Doing well at it winning some events .Placing in the top 5 at others. He started flaging for the Wheel to Wheel as the head starter. Finally got his brother Ed to come out to some events .Which got the ball rolling .Before you knew it he had his own tough Jeep(Goal to Roll)Truck after truck ,Rob got hold of a 1980 Short Box Ford which was put to the test .At some events four brothers would be there taking turns.Trying to beat each others time .Finally it was to much for the truck and it bent .Bent the spring tower on the drivers side till it hit the steering shaft and the passenger side hit the manifold.

In 2002 Ed Sanderson bought one of the biggest and baddest heavy metal trucks out there today,  this put the flame under the rest of our seats!! About half way through the 2002 season Jamie Sanderson bought an older class 1-2 1600 buggy, which inturn resulted in buying an even newer an improved buggy during the 2003 season. During the 2003 with 2 out the 5 brothers on the track(the youngest 2 of the brothers), made Will Sanderson scramble to catch up with working on a Class 4(Heavymetal class) with realizing that it would not be ready for the 2003 season because of a busy work schedule.  He purchased a class 6, what is better Known as the BUCKING BRONCO, which was a mad race to be able to make it to the last event of 2003 season.   With working a 12 hour midnight shift and rushing on the friday of event he had it all ready to go and with complications with the radiator when getting ready to load it, meant it would have to wait till 2004 to try it out!!!

Late in the 2004 season Rob bought a strong runner.A Class 7 S-10 from Kevin Aube.Going to the last event at North Augusta.Finishing 3rd for the weekend.

Wanting more ,now having to wait till spring of 05 for the next Offroad event .He decided to enter in the Street Warriors at Monster Jam at the SkyDome.

Ed as his crew chief for the weekend (sitting in the stands drinking beer).Rob got 4th on Saturday .

After having a talk that night over a view more beers .They came to the conclution he wasn't getting enough speed over the first double jump and was taking up time when he nose dived into the second part of the double jump.(biting tongue)(twise)..

Sunday he made up for it .for everytime he went out on the track he was victorious over his competitors.Winning the event (No tongue biting ).

The speed factor was all fixed now ,He wasn't even hitting the second jump of the double .He was landing on the flat after it

It was the begining of a great year for Rob winning the Monster Jam ,Centerfold in trucking Magzine, also made it to TV with brothers Ed and Jay doing a Media Day to promote the Lindsay Monster Truck Show..Then to top it all off he got theOntario Offroad Racing Ass. Championship for Class 7 .
