North Augusta Motorsports Park June 3-4

Other than the rain it was a pretty good weekend. Everyone should be proud of all the clean racing. There were a few new vehicles out and a few less class 4's...where did they all go? The next points races is 2 months away...lots of time to fix broken transmissions, clutches, overheating and dropped valves! I hope to have some articles done and pictures back by the end of the weekend. If you have photos that you would like to see posted to the gallery, email them to me at wes.kibble@rogers.com

I helped out a bit with the registration and organization...what a huge job that is. I had forgotten how much work goes on behind the scenes....

Here is your Feature race results...sorry I do not have the results of the heat races.

Class 1600

Saturday
1st Stu Talsma
2nd Greg Dinsmore
3rd Jeff Zoskey
4th Ray Jennings
5th Jamie Sanderson

Sunday
1st Jeff Zoskey
2nd Stu Talsma
3rd Jamie Sanderson

Dinsmores new 1600 car was handling awesome until transmission problems took him out. Ray Jennings 1600 was suffering from some driveability problems. I think he was just scared of Greg's new car! Jeff Zoskey broke a CV on Saturday, but was fast and clean all weekend. Jamie Sanderson ended the weekend by dropping a valve. Mr Stu Talsma is super happy with his new motor, as I think he may be our new points leader. If not, he is damn close! Other than the fuel pump giving intermitant problems, this guy was on fire. Awesome job Stu! Just watch your back... this year is going to see some very close racing in Class 1600!

Class 7
Saturday
1st Chad McArthur
2nd Brian Aube
3rd James Horton
4th Rob Sanderson
5th Nate Monahan
6th Ray Weese

Sunday
1st Nate Monahan
2nd Brian Aube
3rd Rob Sanderson
4th James Horton
5th Chad McArthur

As you can see from the results, this was some very close racing! Chad McArthur brought out a brand new ranger that handled awesome. He had a great saturday, but suffered flat tires in both the heat and main events on Sunday. Brian Aube had a great weekend overall in the black #7 S10. James Horton was always in the top 3-4, but the green S10 had some major engine problems in Sundays feature. Rob Sanderson in the black and green S10 had some little problems all weekend, but at least he beat brother Ray Weese, who blew his motor on Saturday. Nate Monahan brought out the #5 S10 and had a blast. With a little more experience, Nate will be a top runner. Overall, this class had some of the best racing of the weekend. The feature on Sunday was possibly the best race of the weekend.

Class 10

Saturday
1st Bob Joseph
2nd Paul Robertson
3rd Ken Sherret
4th 917
5th 943
6th 600

Sunday
1st Bob Joseph
2nd Ken Sherret
3rd Paul Robertson

I did not get the names of the other 3 cars out on Saturday and I appologize. I know that Class 10 suffered lots of problems. Bob had his backup transmission in and the space between 2nd and 3rd was too much for this track, but he still managed two firsts. Paul had some good runs, but had some unknown problems on Sunday. Ken had clutch problems all weekend.

Class 4
Saturday
1st Steve Martel #483
2nd Neil Martel #747
3rd Kevin Aube #7
4th Kevin Kern #403

Sunday
1st Steve Martel #483
2nd Neil Martel $747
3rd Kevin Aube #7

Overall, most of the Class 4's had a good weekend. Kevin Kern was hampered by cooling problems all weekend. Kevin Aube put on a good show and kept up pretty good in his Class 7 legal S10. As always, the Martel brothers had some gresat racing.

Class 12 Quads
The quads had a great show! I hope to be in contact with the racers so that we can be a bit more organized for them. There was 19 on Saturday and 15 on Sunday. Scott Dodds kicked ass on the Honda 450R. He won the feature race on both days. Ian Higgens on the Suzuki LTZ400 and Mark Miller were 2nd in the feature races. I do not have heat results for Saturday, but I do know that William Young, Scott Dodds and Patrick Boisvenue won the heats on Sunday and that Bill Southerland, Scott Hall, and Greg Mitchell all finished second in Sunday heats. All the quad guys should have a pat on the back for some clean racing and awesome action. I hope to see you all at the next race.

Some Racing Action......

Wheat Field

Raining all day Saturday made track very MUDDY

All the Mud caused some over heating

This was the first event...what will the 2nd and the 3rd lead to???  I'm sure you will find some fun in the dirt at every corner.
